Your Picton accommodation hosts

Janet and Ian moved to Picton mid-2013, from Dunedin, Otago, NZ, after falling in love with the beauty of the Sounds. With Ian's strong passion for sailing and the Otago Street address Anchor Down is the perfect relocation for them.

Ian is Dunedin born and bred. He enjoys sailing competitively and has been a sailing instructor for many years. He is also a past Dunedin Rotary President and has enjoyed being a Rotarian over an extended period of time. He currently works part time in Blenheim. He is the main breakfast cook at Anchor Down as well.

Janet has spent most of her adult years in Dunedin and has a long background working in health and also more recently in Human Resources for the University of Otago. She is a licensed Zumba®Instructor.

Both Ian and Janet enjoy the beautiful walks through the sounds area as well as the opportunities to explore wineries, honey companies, nut farms and taste the delights of Marlborough seafood.

They have done some overseas travelling and hope to do more over the coming years.

Janet and Ian have two adult sons who enjoy the opportunity to visit them in Picton whenever they can. This is certainly a holiday paradise.
